1. Is the music production course limited to 2 days?
We recommend no more that 2 consecutive days in a row. The course is designed so that students can immediately go and practice everything they have learned and start producing finished tracks. Of course students are always welcome back if they would like to cover certain techniques in more depth and additional days are available at a discounted rate of £120.
2. Can I bring a friend / production partner to the course?
Yes, if you both have a similar level of experience. One key advantage the course has over music schools and colleges is the ability to adapt to each students style and pace of learning therefore it is important that you both have a similar level of experience. The price for bringing an additional person is £50 per day.
3. Is the course taught exclusively on Ableton Live?
Yes, Ableton Live provides an excellent platform to quickly and clearly explain the concepts of EDM production. For music production, Live is very closely matched to other DAW’s and with the Tutor’s background covering Reason, Cubase and Sonar he will be able to easily relate Live to any other DAW you may be using. That said, Live has many unique features and intuitive processes to discover and we also have a large number of 3rd party instruments and effects in the studio should students wish to receive guidance on these.
4. When and how do I pay for the course?
We request students pay for the course in full on the first day. We are currently only able to accept cash.
